FSA delivers its first feed to the USA
Just a few months after it was set up, FSA in Amberg delivered its first challenging dual-track feeding system solution to the US. It replaces an old feeding system in the production line that was constantly causing cycle time interruptions and downtime.

The conductor sleeve, measuring just 3 x 2.5 mm, was supplied in two lanes at a distance of 129 mm and lifted vertically upwards into the customer's gripper. The parts were pre-oriented in a CNC-milled polyamide bowl and aligned at the bowl outlet on a two-lane sorting curve, contrary to their actual physically determined preferred position.
At the bowl outlet, the parts were taken over by two linear sections, each operated on an FSA linear drive SLS 400, which were able to ensure the part spacing of 129 mm thanks to their V-shaped arrangement.
The independent separation (vertical lifting) with a clever ratchet mechanism ensured clearly defined processes and increased process reliability to the desired level.
