Step feeder FlexType ST (Nano) for the pharmaceutical industry

The complete feeding system consists of six FlexType ST (Nano) step feeders - a particularly compact feeder. The feeding system, which is grouped into our Pharma Premium class, is installed in an ISO 8 cleanroom and thus meets the highest pharmaceutical requirements.

Six FlexType ST (Nano) step feeders in the Pharma Premium category form the heart of the system. The product (part) to be fed is a drug carrier for the pharmaceutical industry that must be administered to the patient and therefore requires the highest standards. The system has an feeding rate of 40 pcs/min on 18 lanes. The step feeders are filled via hoppers.  The parts must be fed very gently. All drives and the base frame are completely enclosed and therefore easy to clean. The parts are sorted on an SLA 400-400 linear feeder, which runs particularly smoothly and is ideally suited for cases involving critical transitions with little clearance. All parts in contact with the product are made of V4A grade stainless steel. The cable gland runs directly through the casing or through an Armorvin tube. The accumulation section is based on an exceptionally wide SLC 500-300 linear feeder. What makes the system so special is the high degree of reproducibility. Even the air nozzles are milled and thus precisely reproducible. In addition, the system can be simulated and thus mapped as a digital twin.
