Founding of METALAIX

At the end of 2025, the RNA Group established a new company in Aachen focused on laser technology and sheet metal processing. The goal of founding MetalAix GmbH is to increase the depth of value creation, thereby ensuring delivery reliability and enhancing flexibility. Through networked processes, the use of the latest technologies, and the pooling of employee expertise, the new company will enable RNA to handle orders more efficiently and complete them more quickly in the future. Technological developments in the field of digitalization can also be better leveraged, making process and product innovations easier to achieve.

Sheet metal components and assemblies are just as essential for RNA feeding systems as they are for RNA components. Whether it’s a sorting bowl, accumulation section, hopper, soundproof housing, or conveyor belt; all components contain precision sheet metal parts made of steel, aluminium, spring steel, stainless steel (V2A, V4A), or similar materials. With manufacturing processes such as cutting/lasering, bending/edging, deburring, welding, and grinding, the RNA Group now also handles these processes in-house at MetalAix to continue delivering the best products to its customers.

The new company has recruited numerous employees who have been working with RNA products for years or even decades and thus possess comprehensive product expertise. For this reason, the unit was able to manufacture its first products as early as January 2026, meeting RNA’s usual high-quality standards.
