FlexCube - Digital feasibility studies
We have digitized our FlexCube drive platform! The FlexCube 240 is currently available as a complete digital twin for digital feasibility studies - without any real sample parts, quick and easy.
The digital world of RNA continues to grow. At the beginning of 2025, we began digitizing the vibration platforms of the FlexCube series. This means we now have the possibility to provide you with an immediate statement on feasibility without a physical workpiece. We would like to give you an insight into digitization in this short article. Every digitization process starts with decoding the machine physics. Once this is known, a precise simulation can then be created. In order to decipher the physics, a FlexCube 240 was measured by our partner Polytec using the 3D laser Doppler vibrometer (Figure 1).

The 3D laser Doppler vibrometer offers the possibility to measure the vibrations of the FlexCube without contact. In this way, the structural mechanics can be precisely analyzed and subsequently modelled. The control software for FlexCubes offers numerous predefined movement functions to make the cube vibrate. To create a digital twin with maximum precision, we measured all movement sequences.
The digital twin of the FlexCube is now integrated into our Digital Feeder simulation software, including the familiar control panel for controlling the cube (Figure 2).

With the help of the simulation, we can precisely simulate all standard FlexCube vibration platforms as well as individually CAD-designed parts containers within a few minutes. We no longer need real sample parts for feasibility studies. Our project engineers only need the 3D CAD file, and we can start the tests for you in the digital world.
